Boy was I wrong.

"Got to read some Romans and then pass out for the night. I'm excited, Romans is sooooo good."
That was me like an hour and a half ago. Boy was I wrong. On the first part of course. Read some Romans and then more Romans, and then finished some Romans. On the second part, Romans is still 'sooooo good'. Some people base their entire lives off of things that were said in Romans. Paul is for sure a soldier. A lot can be learned from soldier Paul and his words.
All this Romans (and a little Francis Chan following that) got me to thinking about how easy it is to be lukewarm when everything is going poorly and you have to rely on Him to make it through the day. I need constant reminders that He is all that ever really matters. His love for me is so huge that it is unfathomable. I can't wrap my puny little brain around it. That's how it needs to be though. What is the point of even having an all powerful being if the workings are easy to understand? What is the point if the workings are even possible for us to understand?
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well!"
Psalm 139: 14
On a slightly different subject, my fears are unfounded. Thanks for the reassurance. Even if there was reason to be fearful, there is no reason. Everything is going to work itself out as long as I trust in the Lord. How easily I forget that. It is nice to know that I can remember though.
Small note about these posts. They are mostly word vomit with very little proofreading or planning. I try to make sure that most of the words I am saying are words but that's the extent of it. Hopefully this helps somebody, maybe.

David, it's awesome you're reading Romans! I am too!! Isn't it incredible!!! Oh man there's so much in here I've never really analyzed before, and it's just blowing my mind, and invigorating my spirit.

It's so cool that you are reading the passages and seeing love as well. Oh, that the Lord would see fit to rescue us! Who deserve nothing and are so unfaithful! That he knows the hairs on our head and the roll of every dice, and He looked on us and welcomed us to adoption.

Unfathomable is a good word. I once heard it said, "I don't think God is really God if he fits inside our heads." And just as we are fearfully and wonderfully made, the concept of God's sovereignty is so wonderful but so frightful as well. Praise God for his provision, the scriptures, and for you my brother. Thanks for sharing, I think I may go read more now!
